This was a study in muted tones and controlled light.
I loved exploring the tones and rolls of the umbrella and how it related to the clothing, the sky, the shirt and even the dark, suntanned tones of skin.
Her commissioned play The Sound Of Herring is currently published by University of Western Ontario. Used at Althouse and OISE by the Romeo Dallaire Institute for Genocide.
She has twice been nominated as one of CTV's Canada's Top 40 Canadians Under 40.
Her Portrait was painted and included in a series labelled "Canadians to Watch" The series toured Canada and had its opening Gala at the Metro Toronto Referance Library. Named Artist of the Year by the New Tecumseth and Area Arts Council. Theatrical Designer. Plays and writings have been produced across Canada, The United states and England. Works have been used by national charities to raise awarness and funds: by School Boards and encorporated into the core curriculum. Winner- Canadian Living Magazine- Short Story Competition. Nightwood Festival, 10 x 10 at The Repertory Theatre In Winnipeg. Award winning Director. Winner 1st Place- National Canadian Playwrights Award. A sampling of Directing Credits include, The father, Echoes, Down An Alley Filled With Cats, Steel Magnolias, Familiar Circles, Jewish Girls Don't Kayack.
