Looking towards? or Looking Away?


Highlights and Lowlights- are integral to the success of any painting.  Where are the light sources, how do you manipulate those lights in order to create a mood. Consider how the darks and structure and angle work together to support the image.                                                            Even the background defines the piece. Do you choose to add a somber quality? Neutral Element?
