Charcoal is a lovely medium- Don't be afraid to have fun with it- Studios are made to be messy- Willow Charcoal is messy - there will be dust and bits and chunks and dirty fingers. But art and painting makes a mess too! Have FUN- Create-I used two instruments-I used Coates Willow Sticks- the finest and smallest I could comfortably handle- Then I used a medium #4 Tortillion or Blending Stump.
